If sin is somehow intertwined with our flesh, if we bear the tendencies toward destruction in our dirt-formed bodies, where does the image of God reside? Somewhere within soul and spirit, we discover the likeness of God in every human being. A beauty and treasure worth far more than gold.
So often it is easier to see the likeness of God in others than in ourselves. But if every person reflects our Creator, then each one of us has His likeness within. What facets of God’s beauty are found in you? What part of His nature do you bring to the world?
In 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul tells us to imitate him, as he imitates Jesus. If you were writing that letter, what would you be referring to when you tell others to imitate you?
