“Daughter of Eve from the far land of Spare Oom where eternal summer reigns around the bright city of War Drobe, how would it be if you came and had tea with me?”
Mr. Tumnus to Lucy in The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis
There is something wonderful about an invitation to come in from the snow to take tea with a newfound friend. The delight of discovering connections while you sip tea and share cookies is not to be missed.
Better yet is the invitation to stop by and have tea with an old friend. The comfort of being able to enter a safe place where you may open your heart and unburden your soul is something to treasure.
Such invitations are beautiful things.
