Beauty is the conduit between our heart and God’s. Beauty serenades us.
Even in a flower as simple as a daisy, there is wonderful detail to be found. The golden center is not a single piece, but is formed of swirling hexagons that suggest starry shapes twirling and dancing. Not everyone will notice these tiny parts of a daisy, of course. Nor will everyone be charmed by them. Yet some of us will notice, some of us will be charmed. Some of us will be wooed to the heart of our Creator by such playful design. It is for us that such flowers exist.
Have you considered the plants or animals or aspects of the earth that God made with you in mind? Whether they are enjoyed by millions of people—sunsets, seashores and starry nights—or only a few—dandelions, donkeys and dung beetles—that which calls to your heart was formed for you. God constructed this world for us to inhabit and explore, and He gave us plenty of variety, so every person could find fascination, joy and wonder.
What pieces of the world have won your heart?
What messages have they conveyed about their Creator?
